Hello, I'm Christina

Meet Christina Laur, a dedicated speech-language pathologist and voice specialist whose journey has been shaped by a deep passion for communication and expression. Christina earned a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, and she holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence conferred by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Christina's academic foundation in communication was further enriched by her undergraduate studies in classical and contemporary vocal performance at Carthage College. Equipped with a bachelor's degree in music, she brings a unique blend of clinical expertise and artistic sensibility to her practice.

As an Estill Master Trainer through Estill Voice International, Christina's expertise extends beyond traditional speech therapy. She collaborates with a diverse clientele, including singers, actors, educators, business professionals, and public speakers, providing guidance in vocal health education, voice enhancement, accent modification, and executive business communication training.

In her clinical practice, Christina specializes in voice, resonance, and cleft palate/craniofacial anomalies.

Driven by a genuine desire to empower individuals to find their voice and communicate with confidence, Christina has embarked on a new venture that merges education and therapy to support both parents and patients alike. Through innovative programs, she provides invaluable guidance and therapeutic interventions tailored to enhance communication skills and foster overall well-being for children and families.

Christina's passion for education extends to her work with students preparing for the Praxis® Exam, a pivotal milestone in the journey to becoming certified speech-language pathologists. Through her specialized program, "Prep-to-Pass," she equips aspiring professionals with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to excel in their examinations and embark on successful careers in the field.

With a proven track record of successful university undergraduate and graduate program accreditations, Christina also serves as a respected academic and clinical accreditation consultant, spearheading programs designed to elevate standards and facilitate growth within the field. Her dedication to excellence and commitment to professional standards are evident in her role as an accreditation consultant, where she lends her expertise to ensure that programs meet rigorous standards of quality and efficacy set forth by the Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA) and the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
